At Illawarra Surf Academy, we love to Party!!!
We are hear to make sure your special day is a cracker. Our Kids Surfing Birthday Party is the perfect party option. Consisting of a 1.5 hour surfing lessons at one of our 3 amazing locations, and Pizza & Ice Cream Cake to keep the kids happy after a shred session.
All 3 of our Illawarra locations have open grass parks, amentities and fantastic waves to make sure the kids have a great time with us. Our Surfing Parties are run with a ratio of 1:5 surfer to coaches, to make sure everyone has a safe and memorable surfing experience with us, and one that you would recommend to averyone.
Our Surfing Lessons are tailored and focused as an introduction to all aspects of surfing. We will have all party goers in mind when planning our sessions, so if there are some complete learners they will get run through from the beginning which will include all safety aspects of surfing, correct paddle and pop up technique as well as getting into some turning techniques. For the kids that are up and surfing already we will get them out the back and ripping into some great waves!

You don’t really need to bring much to your surf party, but try to remember the following items:
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Drinking water
- Your booking voucher (printed or on your phone)
- A HUGE smile!!....
We will provide you with the following when you arrive for your party:
- 1.5hr Surfing Lesson
- Safe, stable soft top Surfboard
- Warm Steamer Wetsuit
- Rash Shirt
- Sunscreen
- Professional Instruction from our experienced local surf coaches
- Pizza's
- Ice Cream Birthday cake
At our surf school, we run surf lessons in all weather and surf conditions, rain hail or shine, providing it is safe to do so. If the surf is too big, or completely flat, or if the conditions are unsafe due to high winds or lightning, then we will reschedule your lesson. If we change the time and you are unable to come to the new lesson, then we will provide a credit toward another lesson at a later date. If that is unsatisfactory we may issue a refund at our discretion.
If you would like to reschedule a lesson you have booked, we need at least 24 HOURS NOTICE. Failure to give the necessary notice will mean you forfeit the cost of that lesson. Under these circumstances there are no refunds, partial or otherwise.
Although owned and operated by Nic Squiers, our Academy employs a number of fully accredited, qualified and experienced Surf Instructors. We cannot guarantee you (or your group) will be assigned to any particular instructor. Your instructor will be assigned as a 'best fit' based on our assesment of your skill level and the booking schedule / availability of all our instructors.
